My name is Hauiti, I am from Taupo, the centre of te ika a Maui (North Island) of Aotearoa, New Zealand.

My tribal affiliations are Tuwharetoa, Kahungunu, Te Arawa, Te Atihaunui, Maniapoto


I have just completed my doctoral dissertation at Otago University (2010) specialising in Indigenous Mapping & GIS: mapping oral histories

This is the blog i use to capture my thoughts about that journey and all the connections i have made during that journey. Now that the journey is almost at a conclusion - what now?
